Portfolio Manager

As a crucial member of this team, you will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer and be responsible for investment analysis and portfolio management. This role will also contribute to business development.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis: Understand and commit to value investing principles and strategy. Analyze clients’ investment portfolios in collaboration with Financial Planner and Chief Investment Officer. Research and recommend potential investments for inclusion in client portfolios.

Portfolio Management: Assist in construction, monitoring, and reconciliation activities relevant to clients’ custom portfolios. This includes asset allocation, trading activities, rebalancing, monitoring cash positions, running portfolio models, and fee calculations.

Client Service: Maintain open lines of communication with clients, ensuring they are informed about their portfolios and investment strategies. Provide timely updates on market conditions and performance and be readily available to answer any questions they may have.

Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough performance analysis on client portfolios and individual investments, while evaluating returns and risk. Convey outcomes and recommendations effectually to clients, helping them determine their investment objectives.

Risk Management: Implement, monitor, and assess security valuation inputs and risk management strategies, including diversification and hedging with derivative securities.

Research: Stay up to date with business and market developments, providing insightful research and analysis that informs our investment decision-making process.

Administration: Execute essential administrative tasks related to investment accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Investment Education: Educate clients on various investment strategies, providing guidance that empowers them to make informed decisions about their investments.

Business Development: Actively participate in business development opportunities and networking events.

 

Skills & Interpersonal

  • Technical aptitude to quickly grasp and navigate business-critical software and systems (e.g., Black Diamond, Redtail CRM)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills
  • Strong awareness of business and macro-economic developments; keenly attuned to long-term strategy as opposed to short-term influence
  • Precisely interpret financial data aligned with client goals and portfolio management strategies
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, embodying our firm’s core values and unwavering commitment to exceptional service
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills that facilitate collaborative decision-making
  • A team player who contributes to a positive and cohesive work environment

 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Proven experience in investment analysis, financial planning, or related field
  • Series 7 and 66 licensures or equivalent required
  • CFA designation or ability to achieve within course of employment

 

Salary & Benefits

  • Annual salary range is $80,000.00 – $110,000.00
